The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, Water & Power Department is implementing a landmark renewable energy initiative: the "Development of a Project having a cumulative capacity of 100 MWp Distributed Solar Photovoltaic (DPV) Plants at various sites in Gilgit-Baltistan" under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). This project aims to harness GB's abundant solar resources, reducing dependency on imported fuels, improving energy access, and promoting sustainable development across the region.

The Project Management Unit (PMU) is seeking qualified professionals for Resident Engineer (Civil/Electrical), Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil/Electrical), Sub Engineer (Civil/E&M), Accounts Officer, Computer Operator, LDC, Driver, Office Attendant, and Chowkidar positions. These are purely contractual positions (1 year, extendable) . Candidates must have Gilgit-Baltistan domicile, with quotas for disabled persons, women, and non-Muslims as per government rules.
